Jennifer (J.N.) Garrett is a visual artist and writer who loves transforming imagination into reality through marks on paper, whether those marks are words or brushstrokes. Sometimes other people pay her to transform their imaginations into reality too.
In 2011, Jennifer completed the four-year fine arts program at Atelier Maui. Since then, she has continued to study through various avenues, including the Masterpiece Christian Fine Arts Foundation artist conferences, and courses at Schoolism.com. Jennifer works as an art instructor and part time freelancer, and she is also developing and creating her own personal project (a fantasy story loosely inspired by "Beauty and the Beast"), which she hopes to publish as a webcomic.

I work in a number of different styles, ranging from sketching to “finished”, and from more stylized to more realistic. I can also work in both digital and traditional media.
Examples of things I will gladly draw or paint for you*:
Original characters/costume designs.
Illustrative/story-based art (your own stories, or work in the public domain).
Fantasy (elves, dwarves, fairies, warriors, creatures, and beyond).
Reality (human and animal portraits, landscapes, still life, nature).
Select types of holiday greeting card designs/announcements/invitations, etc.
Select types of faith-based art.
Do you have your own ideas but don’t seem to see them here? Let me know!
Examples of things I won’t draw or paint for you*:
Any copyrighted/trademarked/licensed material, unless you are an owner/representative/partner of said intellectual property and have the authority to legally commission work based on this content.
Anything mocking religious beliefs.
Torture or excessive/gratuitous gore (nothing past “The Lord of the Rings” level.)
Due to the wide range of possible customizations I can make in my commissions, prices are calculated on an individual project basis. Some factors that influence pricing include the art medium, image size, image complexity, and whether you wish to own the copyright to the image. Please don’t hesitate to contact me by email if you have any questions at all regarding my work or my commission process, and I will be happy to respond. If you have an idea for a piece, I can also provide you with an estimate. Requesting an estimate does NOT obligate you to commission a piece of art.
*I reserve the right to decline to do any project I do not believe will be a mutual fit for myself and the client. If you have questions, please email, and I will be happy to answer.
